Saturday, 11-04-09 was the day when NASYA was looking for its first meeting of Gujarat territory. It was the day when Ayurvedic students from different parts of Gujarat met together in Ahmedabad. The meeting place, “Nidana Chikitsa Kendra” 303, Harekrishna Complex,Pritamnagar, Paldi was ready to welcome students from different parts of Gujarat at 1.30pm. As students gathered, they started with informal discussion among themselves. At sharp 2pm, the meeting started with Dhanwantari Vandana by Zalak (Student of Ahmedabad College) and then by National Anthem. Then Guests, Mr. Kirthikumar (National Co-ordinator of NASYA), Mr. Ajay Parikh (Senior Lecturer of Computer Science, Gujarat Vidyapith) & Vd. Bhavdeep Ganatra (National Executive of NASYA from Gujarat) were given a warm Welcome by Vd. Charmy Shah. The meeting later went on with a small Introductory lecture of Mr. Ajay Parikh on “Vijnana Bharati”, which helped the audience get a clear idea of Vijnana Bharati. A small motivating video of LEAD INDIA was shown thereafter. Then Vd. Bhavdeep. Ganatra gave a brief and wonderful introduction on how, when and why NASYA was born. Later, Mr. Kirthikumar proceeded the meeting by describing Delhi’s meet held on 28th Feb- 1st March, 2009. Then came speeches of Convinier of individual colleges. Milind Tapodhan from Ahmedabad college, Vd. Jay Patel from Jamnagar college,Vd. Samir Gadhia from Nadiad, Prajapati Jayesh from Parul Institute, Vadodara, Stuti Doshi from Aryakanya Ayurveda mahavidyalaya, Vadodara, Vd. Sunil Suthar from Lodra college presented their points and ideas for awareness and growth of Ayurved and leading it to great heights. Solutions to common problems of students and new ideas were given by Vd. Bhavdeep Ganatra. Also Mr. Kirthikumar blew the fire in students by giving some really great ideas. Lastly, Vd. Samir Gadhia of Nadiad College was declared as President and Vd. Charmy Shah as Secretary of NASYA GUJARAT by Mr. Kirthikumar. All students departed after praying Lord, filling in with lots of enthusiasm, ideas and positive attitude. And Mr. Kirthikumar headed toward Jamnagar where he met NASYA members of Jamnagar and declared Vd. Hitesh Jani as Patron for Gujarat. SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS FROM MEMBERS:-
- Growth of medicinal plants and awareness of its benefits.
School level Programmes for Awareness of opportunities after Ayurveda. As well as Introduction of Ayurvedic points in Syllabus of higher secondary schools.
Development of other Astha Angas of Ayurved.
Magazine of NASYA telling about activities of other territories and also other useful information.
Provision of effective medicinal formulations by NASYA members to Vaidyas.
Practical aspects and experiences should be regularly discussed by students of different zones.
Medical Health camps in Urban and Rural areas.
Practical application of Dravyaguna drugs. Knowledge of newly discovered drugs, etc.
Group discussions among students. And seminars of experienced and renowned resource persons.
Being dutiful, honest, innovative and broad minded.
And lastly, celebrating Happy Vaidya’s Day, which members of Gujarat have thought to celebrate on Dhanteras every year, jus before Diwali.
